Whenever she visits Lesotho, DJ Owami makes sure to visit the Little Feet Foundation in Maseru. This is a non-governmental entity that drives a variety of courses, for the sole benefit of orphaned and abandoned children. She entertains them through music, playing games, and all sorts of fun activities.
Founded in 2014, Little Feet Foundation is a non-profit organisation (NPO) with the primary aim of providing psychological services to children who are residing in various child care facilities and orphanages in Lesotho and South Africa. This NPO identifies and uses the services of clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists to offer comprehensive psychological support to children.
Their vision is to be the most exciting, creative, self-funded children’s foundation that provides free psychological support services. For them to self-fund, they often ask the community to participate in their events and purchase their merchandise.
Through another one of her brands, known as Queendom Media, Owami often donates stuff to rural and township communities. Now that we are approaching the end of 2019, Owami is giving away two gift vouchers worth R2,500 to cover matric dance needs for a boy and a girl from the rural or township areas.
